The Romantic Engineer
Whether it’s a place, a person of renown or an object, Gillian Place takes a magnifying glass and examines the world with her own sensitive interpretation.
Here is a poet whose nice sense of humour and skilful use of language make this first pamphlet a real pleasure to read. She brings a rich variety of experience to her writing, people, places, the exotic, the commonplace, fill her poems, all maturely conceived and tonally exact. Enjoy!
